What to do when I don't fit well on my team? Its my first job, and I'm finding myself to be the kind of person that works better with more freedom and less structure. Meanwhile, my team is very well structured, even if it means wasting time. I don't have enough space to come up with ideas and try things. My performance is way better when placed in other teams where they give me more space, and I'm not sure of how go about it, any thoughts?

Your first job will be like this so just hit your numbers and then move to a position that better suits your working style. Before anyone comes after me I feel like this too in my first new job. But I’ve always been impressionable, a value additive, and dependable. Because your working for a big consulting company it’s easy to spin out of your current team into a role that better suits you.

Mining Engineering is an undergrad here, focused on metals, while covering the entire value chain (3600 hours of classes alone, yikes). We have a tiny bit of hydrogeology here, mostly to know what is done and why, noting specific.
I work on FA, Capital Projects, delivering technology to mining companies.

Sounds pretty good! I will definitely talk to my HM, luckily she's a nice lady, and see if I can go around horizontally in the company. It will definitely pay off in the long run considering how odd my character is; I'm particularly good at working with a lot of uncertainty while having to understand some confusing circumstances under high pressure. I get more excited than stressed in those scenarios. Not so much the type to do detailed work to make sure everything is in place.

Any recommendations of boutique law firms in CA that have experience in commercial litigation for retail/fashion/apparel/home companies? Specifically consumer class action, unfair business practices, false advertising/17200, data privacy.

Thanks for your recommendations.

I am a contract employee that was just brought on a month ago. I have done well with onboarding and learning their tech. I have now been asked to design an architecture for an upcoming project, and document it all. Nothing at this company has been well documented before.
