It’s not the liberal haven it pretends to be. It is a yuppy, over-priced city lacking in amenities and convenience present in other cities of its size that cost considerably less.
And while not exclusive to Austin, what is with entrance fees to state or county parks I’m already paying for with my taxes. I went to college in another state before moving back and all parks and preserves had no entrance fee (and were also cleaner).

Those are fighting words—you better be glad you're posting anonymously!! Not saying I disagree though. I will also say that Austin isn't as cool as it used to be. I wouldn't say that out loud to just anyone! 😅
Not weird, hasn’t been weird in a while, and generally antithetical to weirdness. In fact, often surprisingly conformist.
SC1...one might argue they aren't liberals at all, but are progressives who think the liberal moniker is cool, but has no idea what it means to be an old school liberal. Definitely, none of that you do you and let me do me.
The food scene is only good relative to the small towns surrounding Austin. Houston has a a good food scene. New Orleans has a good food scene. Austin has a thousand places selling tacos and fried chicken, which I love to eat but doesn’t constitute a good food scene.
The city itself (downtown and immediate) has no diversity and becomes a bit alienating.
Whataburger is just Burger King with better service
Liberals, traffic, overpriced housing, me culture, overpriced drinks, property taxes

The only exception i think is tacos which are there best here
I'd say, "Vanna, I'd like to buy a vowel." It seems the long "I" is the only one these poor Austinians have. My sister learned to talk in Austin and she still says her name is "Imy" instead of "Amy."
Agree that KC BBQ is goated
Austin is a “Liberal” city, but not hippy/progressive. Still a bunch of white people making decisions that hurt POC, unhoused people, disabled folks.
