A sh*t ton. I had a nanny asking $32/hr to care for a 9yo. All they needed to do was pick up from camp, make sure the kid had a snack, unloaded the dishwasher, and otherwise stayed out of my hair from noon-3 while I worked in my bedroom. On top of that, they wanted daily pay. I understand they're providing a valuable service, but that's bananas. Honestly, if you have a young kiddo, I'd just send to daycare. Prob cheaper and your kiddo will get the benefit of socializing w other kiddos and get used to being cared for by people other than you
Look into an au pair from europe
We brought in our cousin from Nigeria and she's a full time many for us in exchange for a place for her to stay while she studies. If you have family overseas, I'd go with that option cause they're pretty expensive otherwise
Rising Star
Expensive as hell , my friend had one for both her girls . She wanted 40-60 hr, insurance, PTO and Holidays off . They agreed and then Nanny started breaking all rules and getting let go .
Limited quality of nanny’s in the area from what I understood form her . Au pair may be a better suggestion .
