I have been researching into this these days and there is literature that shares how lending worked in pre-Islamic Arabia. When the time to pay back a loan came, the lender would ask "would you pay or will you increase?" And that increase was usually doubling the loan. Subsequently ever year the loan wasn't paid it was doubled from the previous year.

As I grow older and look towards starting my own family, I have wondered what traditions can I start/incorporate into my family as my own around Ramzan and both Eids. I want my kids to grow up feeling excited about these occasions, look forward to these times of the year, and see them as fun.
