It’s not rude to be brief, it’s just a formality. If you want to be polite, do it face to face with your manager and then send that email right after.

I asked for a physical paper copy that was signed, I had some accommodations made due to a previous surgery.
Fully agree with this, never give a “reason” or any justification in writing. That is for an exit interview or an in person conversation if you choose to do that. The email or letter of resignation is simply just for hr to put in their file and so they notify to end payroll.

Just be sure it is professional, short, to the point, include your actual last day, and make it clear that you intend to work those last two weeks. No need to give out any reason, be emotional, include where you’re going, and certainly don’t do something stupid that would make you go viral.
