10 days consecutively in between holidays so it felt like longer. I remember the first time I asked for 10 days, my (male) manager was not happy. Telling me "this is not Europe".

Anyways, since women have taken the lead I've had no issues asking for time off.

Gross of your manager. Yes 10 days plus holiday and weekend will give you a good 15-20, no? Why do you think that there was a difference between your male and female managers? When was the last time you took off that much time again?

10 days is the most time I’ve taken off at once. Finally realized my PTO was use it or lose it, decided to use it.

I am in Europe so maybe we get it differently but we can take off as much as we want. Especially if you’re a junior, ur not so integral, it’s urs to be used and surely if you use it all up now it means the other side of the holidays you’ll be working more without any breaks?

Well we still have a set amount of holiday days we can take off. However, it’s not unheard of that someone takes off unpaid leave for a few weeks to go travelling for instance.

Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.
