Absolutely. What corporations call quiet quitting, I call just doing my job and not stressing out about a company that would replace me with AI if they could.
Wow, quiet quitting, that's a phrase I haven't heard in a while. Personally, I'm all for quiet quitting and acting your wage. Although I know the job market is tight, I've been willing to go the extra mile lately. You know, make myself more indispensable.
If you want to move up in your company and grow your career it isnt a good idea. But I also know how frustrating it is to go above and beyond over and over and not be recognized or compensated, so I fully support it!
That has been my past experience, go above and beyond, work OT at the expense of my personal life only to see nepotism unfold. I worked for a co for 8 yrs and found out a niece of a manager was hired in at what I was making after 8 grueling yrs. then after 3 mo she was promoted when the rules state you have to remain in your role for at least one year. I was done.
