I will set breaks up for myself, either once I get to a certain point of things done or set a timer. It gives me something to look forward to while doing things that I don’t really want to do. Have been using that for a while now and it helps me get started and keep going.
The one that's always worked for me is the "eat the frog" idea. Basically pick the one thing you're dreading the most and do it first thing in the morning when you're at your most energized. It makes the rest of the things I need to do feel much easier by comparison.

I've always shuddered at the saying “eat the frog” but in this case it makes perfect sense. I am going to test out this strategy tomorrow...

This is a good technique. I am going to plan on some breaks with a preferred activity in between tasks.
