Most people at my firm either are junior associates renting in Brickell, edgewater, or midtown, or senior associates/ partner that bought in gables, the beach, grove, or nearby areas.
3 high energy dogs, likely a child in the near future
Real estate in Florida has become very expensive, with insurance coverage becoming very expensive. You will need to get a job with a pretty major firm.
Yeah I know, I’m just trying to figure out where folks looking for houses actually live and commute from to Miami if it’s not a 2M house in Coral Gables
I just recently moved down and have two high energy dogs. I live near Shenandoah park (is like in the middle of a triangle between coral gables, the grove, and Brickell). We rent. It’s expensive (4k). But i split with partner. We have a good enough yard for the dogs to run around/chase lizards. It’s nice area to walk around too.
Maybe if you found a roommate it would be doable. It was more so just a challenge to find a house that was not in disrepair. We had to move out of the first house because of AC/pipes/roaches.
Everything is still over 1.2 mil unless it’s a foreclosed house
Rentals are expensive down here. A friend of mine lives in Boca and commuted to Miami via Brightline a few times a week. She moved after making partner though so she had some leverage to ask to WFH most days.
