I’m interviewing for a an EA role to CEO, who is also interviewing for a chief of staff. CEO has alluded to me being a great CoS based on recent exp, and longer term COO and has asked if I’m going to find the EA role limiting. Do I address my interest in the CoS role, plus gaps in my experience or do I focus on the EA role and finding opps to add value outside of EA responsibilities without stepping on the CoS toes? Maybe this is the wrong platform for this, but to me the whole virtual interview process is so fake to me. Granted virtual can never REALLY take the place of in person interviews. The interviewer will say “yeah you did great” I think you’ll be a great fit here “……then ghosts you for a long time. All the fake questions. All the “requirements” that won’t equal a good employee. I just wish ppl would be real.
