Whew, the mad whirl of the beginning of school has begun. Day three and I am exhausted. Fortunately, the former 8th graders from last year have moved on to High School. But, WOW, the new group we have are really pushing the line. I so want to be positive, but I can't seem to find much to be positive about, just a new group with the same behaviors. How do I find the positive when I am slapped in the face with attitudes and defiance everytime I walk into the classroom?

What are your client follow-up/communication policies or practices? I’m hearing more and more that clients don’t like the long periods of time with little to no contact. From my perspective, since I bill for my time, unless I have an update or need something, I don’t initiate a call. Also, clients hold on to important info and don’t initiate a call cause they’re waiting for me to communicate with them.
