BGC becoming strict in all companies these days

One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Adderall. Most of the info won’t be new, but there were some interesting snippets in there. I also thought it was a useful educational resource to share with your family and friends.

To cover themselves honestly. The more they say and the more specific they are the more likely somebody is to turn it into a liability or legal concern. I could also possibly say time constraints, but if they had the time to interview, ideally they’d have time to write a tiny bit, but back to the first issue.
It's essentially to avoid legal issues. Companies are always wary that something someone says can be misconstrued and turned into a legal problem. And there's also a practical, if cold-blooded reason. If they're not going to be working with you, they don't owe you anything. Some companies take that too far and just ghost people. That's wrong, they should be courteous enough to let people know for certain they've been rejected. But they don't owe anyone a detailed explanation or a discussion.
HR tells hiring managers not to for all of the reasons posted above.
Funny and sad how some rejection letters are written using ChatGPT. I got a couple that still have the [replace with candidate name] in the copy that was drafted and pasted into the email. 🤦♂️💩
Seriously? That is so disgusting. That’s worse than if they didn’t give you any feedback at all. They should’ve just said we’re going another direction or ghosted you rather than not even swap out your name on a ChatGPT created rejection letter you should blast that company on site like Glassdoor.
