How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?

Send me your book, we’re currently hiring interns, happy to take a look
Find ways to get people to see your face in person.
Make friends instead of" connections". People will want to see you succeed more and connect you with the right people/ opportunities
I sometimes feel bad asking connections or friends for a referral. Any advice there?
Best advice;
It’s really hard out there. I graduated in 2023. Get good comments on my work but just can’t break in. I wish I had more advice or wisdom to give. Sadly it’s a struggle every day.
A young grad (a stranger) messaged me on LinkedIn about the company I worked at, the roles she’s applied for, and if we could connect. I told her to send me her resume and I forwarded to hr with a referral. Def politely cold messaged ppl on LinkedIn who work at places you’re applying. I was happy to help her push her resume through because I know how hard the job market is
Don’t feel guilty! Worst they can say is no.

Informational chats with people at agencies you admire. Ask smart, well researched questions. Ask for feedback on your book and revise accordingly. Keep a relationship (send them articles as follow ups to conversations, etc). Eventually, if someone thinks you’re good, passionate and interested in their agency they will think of you when a position opens up. You will never get a job from job postings in this industry; it has to come from people who know you.
What do you mean. It’s not your news. Ask them questions. Get to know them. If they run a sportswear account, send the an interesting article you found about run clubs. Or a cool campaign from Brazil about xyz. Etc.
Like others here said, it’s better to connect with people in person to make an impression. When I started out, I went through my college’s Career Services office, handed a guest speaker my business card in a class, got referred to a reliable recruiter through a friend, and went to mixers here and there. All these methods landed me work. In my 20+ year career, I only ever got one job by applying online. Gotta schmooze in this city if you wanna stand out.
Internships!!!!!!! Every agency has a program. In fact, they start promoting these in January/February. Get on it now. Most get hired on after the internship ends, which is usually July or August.
I’ve applied to every internship I’ve seen on LinkedIn, company websites, people’s post, etc and most have ghosted me since the start even after reaching out to recruiters and other employees at the company. Not sure how to get them to answer
