How many agesim tactics are you seeing out there? Such as required graduation year, or uploaded video interview before you even talk to someone? How are these legal?

Took me a while to get this gig, like 5 months of looking and interviewing, then got laid off after a month and a half bc of covid.

What the hell is a concept provider intern and are they going to apply for a creative director job that we are qualified for?

I think a bomb disposal technician may have a longer professional career than most people in advertising.

Companies asking for GPA are sorta ageist. How is ANYTHING you did 20+ years ago relevant? In college we created ads using scissors and glue. There was no internet. I feel angry when I see a gpa req.

WFH observation. After just over a week into WFH, and no school, I realize just how much teachers are underpaid.

I’m 60. Changed agencies at 45, 50, 55. I know the ageism bias...it can be overcome. We are encyclopedias of great work, we instil confidence, and invaluable safe hands’ to lead in a crisis.
