I’ll usually make two or three follow-up attempts over a week or so—email, phone, and maybe a LinkedIn message—just in case there’s a genuine reason for their silence. If there’s still no response, I move on and refocus my energy on other candidates; it’s disappointing, but chasing someone who’s unresponsive rarely leads to a positive outcome for either side.
