After a 1.5-year search, I was recently provided a new job offer. Before transitioning, I’m wrapping up a personal matter. I won't ramble here, but since this platform lacks a DM feature, feel free to ask questions below and I'll answer honestly. As a soon-to-be 62-year-old, I worked incredibly hard to find this opportunity using my own job-seeking recipe that worked, in addition to having the right background and extraordinary range of skills. I'm happy to share what worked for me.

Congratulations to you on this new journey 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Sincerely thank you, my friend.

Please share what worked for you! Was it more networking or directly applying to jobs?

Gladly I will share: At random, here are some of what I did: I had 1 opportunity to network, but that yielded nothing. For that, the soil needs to be cultivated and receptive, and you need to be carefull, not pushy. 100% of my time searching was LI, GD, etc. I broke up my time by doing creative work, bike ride, or sketching at a local pond. My resume was a template; exact in each version except for the tile and summary. Those were shaped by the JD and AI to summarize so they firt the same characters count/space. Always ensuring it was accurate and truthful.

It took a year and a half? Were you working during that time?

Yes and yes— still am. I have not yet give notice due to an unforeseen medical issue which just popped up this past weekend. Both parties are aware and empathetic. Trust me, I am not obtuse; I know this is very unusual. That said, What I did and learned by doing was successful as I had been interviewing. Feel free to ask what you'd like. We're all in the same village.

So, I truly enjoy wealth management, corporate and institutional solutions and being in a managerial position with 5+ years in this field and in a true management position. I have a B.s in Business Administration and MBA in Global Business Management Currently hold Series 7, 9, 10 and 66 and I’m looking for great opportunities in the Atlanta market. All the help, referrals and guidance would be much appreciated! Was at JPMC before but had left to get managerial experience. I miss JPMC!

Considering a Product Owner role. Any best practices of what questions to ask during an interview? First phase deals with a virtual Teams interview with the recruiter and her manager on Tuesday. Excited since this is a hop from a Product Analyst role and entails an offer of over $30,000 from what I'm getting now! This would be a permanent full-time compared to my current contractor role that ends in March.

I believe improving one’s sales conversion rate is something everyone want to improve but no one wants to admit they would like to work it. Funny how lawyers will spend thousands on seminars to improve trial skills. But this topic is not discussed in our profession. I have read books in sales. But am unable to find any for lawyers. I want convert every lead I can. Does anyone have tips, books, cle’s or studied this topic?

We’re having an Indian wedding on a Sunday with ceremony in the morning, followed by lunch, and then cocktail hour + reception.

Given that the wedding starts early, we will have guests (~30) flying in the day before. What is the expectation in terms of arranging dinner for them? We’re trying to avoid having an additional event Saturday night - any idea on if these guests would need to have food arranged for them by us and what that could look like on a cost effective budget.
