I have a pre-offer with a relocation requirement to California from Arizona. Position is for a company servicing Medical as a Manager supporting multiple supervisors, staff of 164 plus, possible night shift support. What would you consider to be a good salary and relocation package? I have yet to see the official offering but salary range was put at $85-105. Appreciate any insight!

Just made M at Accenture and will make $155k. I have an offer to join McKinsey as a BA for $90k. I do really like my team and projects at Accenture and was able to progress fairly accelerated to M at ACN (so maybe could keep it up for progression to SM?). But also I know how much people value the MBB brand. Thoughts?

Ladies I’m feeling super low. I got an offer for a PM role with Capital One that I was so excited about. After sending a negotiation letter however, the team withdraws my offer saying I’m no longer a good fit . I was respectful and only asked for things that my existing org offered, and made it clear I was happy to adjust if not feasible. I’m beyond disappointed and it’s triggering to my depression and anxiety . As a woman, it’s taken me so long to muster up assertiveness :(

Was your wife supportive of your travel schedule once you had kids? My wife doesn’t want me to work in consulting once we start having kids in a few years.

I consider myself a gen xer. I feel that in the past, longevity and loyalty to a company was the trend. Now, i see ppl with resumes and they stay for less than a year in a job and change jobs constantly. The younger generation and are so eager to move up the ladder. I wonder if the move up is too fast and is really justified. Or perhaps the younger generation feels a lot more entitled and are more aggressive. Thoughts?
