Am I underpaid, or just overreacting? I am currently a Technology and Service Program Manager for a RIA, 10+ years at the company 2 in my current role, recently had my annual compensation review meeting with my management team and am feeling neutral on my most recent change, +2,500 base. New base is 119k, target bonus is currently 77.5k, benefits package comes out to $38k annually, so cash comp is 196,500, total comp is 234,500. I know I’m well paid overall, but don’t know how I stack up.

I always bill 100% of my time and for my entire career in public accounting I have never heard anything negative until recently.. I was told to watch my time as the client doesn’t like to pay these fees, and the partner is unhappy because it looks like I have high hours. Is the message that I should eat my time? Or is it that They think I’m inefficient?

Anyone who has started up a side hustle whilst working in consulting - is it generally a good idea to let your employer know or will they make your life difficult/try to push you out if they know?

(Context - I need the extra income to have a shot at affording grad school, I work for a small boutique, job contract was ambiguous on the issue. Side hustle is selling stuff I make as a hobby on Amazon)
