Another rejection. Another disappointment.
This one hurts more because, for the first time in a long time, I genuinely thought I had a chance. I thought maybe this would be the interview that finally led to an email saying, “Congratulations,” instead of, “We’ve decided to move forward with other candidates.”
The behavioral round went well. The technical questions were straightforward.

Yes, I made a couple of silly mistakes out of confusion, but I thought there would be room for discussion, for explaining my approach, for showing how I think.

Maybe there wasn’t. Maybe they found someone stronger. Maybe someone willing to accept the same salary I was ready to accept. I don’t know.

What I do know is that after months of rejection(close to 2 yrs at this point) every “no” feels heavier than the last. I keep wondering where I went wrong.

I’ve prayed. I’ve stayed hopeful. I’ve kept trying. Yet it feels like the universe keeps passing me by while others move forward in their careers. Meanwhile, I’ve spent the last few years dealing with setback after setback, settling for less than my potential and less than what I know I can contribute.

But life doesn’t stop.

I’m a mom. There isn’t much time to sit with the disappointment. There are meals to cook, a family to take care of, a home to run, responsibilities that don’t pause just because my heart is breaking a little.

So I wipe away the tears, update my resume, submit another application, and keep going.

I’m tired. I’m exhausted.

But tomorrow, I’ll try again

Newish to data analytics. Have some experience in power BI, sql, and R. I wanted to get some exposure to aws and saw the AWS cloud practitioner as an available course at my job.
