Any advice for a potential NYC transplant for senior marketing or media roles in Denver?

Attempting to leave my current job for an opportunity that allows me to work, but doesn’t limit my ability to do some consulting on my own. I have an opportunity I’ve been presented but I’m fairly new at the negotiation game. How do you guys negotiate without insulting your potential opportunity provider?
