Made it to me meant I didn’t have to watch my bank account when paying bills, paying for entertainment/vacations, going out to eat, or buying things in general. For me that was at senior manager. After I hit that point, I started putting my entire salary increase and bonus in saving because I didn’t want to keep increasing my cost of living to equal the money I made. Fast forward to 2 kids later and the need for a bigger house, I’ll likely have to watch my account for 2 years but after that, I should be back where I was

I’ll let you know when I get there. No matter how much I make, the family expenses seem to consume 99.89% of it. It’s amazing

For me, financial security was when I could afford to pay myself a comfortable “salary” for the rest of my life and never had to work again for money. It took me 15 years as a Partner to reach that point...starting from very little and no inherited wealth. Of course, your mileage will vary based on lifestyle and priorities.

Principal 2 - mind sharing how you accumulated that much net worth? Was that from consulting? Unless you’re a high E partner at a firm like Deloitte how can you earn that much? Other income/investments?

@D1you had kids AFTER you made SM? How truly realistic is that now adays when people are hitting that level much later in their life?

PWC2, 1 on deck year to PMD and 1 my 2nd year as PMD. I had kids late in life (late 30s/early 40s)

Hi folks, I have joining on 14th April. Can anyone please tell me what are general onboarding processes are? Which docs should I keep ready with me for first day?

I lead our SOC practice for a US mid tier cpa/consulting firm. Have any of you used these tools for the audit and what has your experience been like? Thanks

This is the only bowl I can think to post in, but I'm really feeling it today. Has anyone lost their best friend (i.e. through time/growing up) and feel like none of their current friends could live up to the fun/connection you used to have with your high school BFF? I feel like I put too much focus on that one friend and also my boyfriend and just never actually made time for anyone else. I fucked myself over.
