Asking for two of my friends. Age around 22. 1 has done B.Sc in Nursing. And the other has done B.Sc in Agriculture. Both have become hopeless into their respective fields after looking for job and not being able to fetch any better. They want to switch to IT. My question is can they do this if acquired sufficient skills! I mean irrespective of their background, will a company hire them as a intern or fresher? If it's possible, then kindly suggest. Does anyone have any info/opinions about being a graduate at KPMG? in Scandinavia. I'm standing between KPMG and another company whereas the other company has a huge focus on the (at least social part of it) graduate programme, while I don't really know that much about KPMGs.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?
