Anyone else on a team where coworkers constantly joke about who's quitting or getting fired next? We've had high turnover lately (4 gone out of 18!), and it ties into negative gossip about others' numbers. TBH, this constant talk makes me really anxious and uncomfortable. How do you handle that kind of vibe, or get teammates to stop joking about it so much? It's borderline toxic, seriously.

Finally had my busy season cry after the staff told the team that he put in his two weeks. I'm crying because 1. We are so screwed and 2. why don't I have the courage to do something like that.
I'm turning 29 this year and usually a stone-hearted bitch but never failed to cry during busy seasons. I think it's time to get out.

Y’all I am struggling on these “light” home improvement projects we decided to take on with a recent house purchase. Plan was just to replace carpets, paint some walls, and replace kitchen appliances. Now added on new faucets, other bathroom hardware / mirrors / toilets / medicine cabinets / exhaust fans, baseboard recaulking and cleanup, kitchen sliding door, ceiling fan rewiring and install, window replacements… how do I rein it in??
