Anyone got an actionable exit strategy for someone who’s been around the block, has no real tech skills, wants to make $150k a year doing something a little more mundane and less precious than consulting?

What kind of consulting have you done?

My favorite projects have let me bring in a career worth of insight on higher ed and help institutions and systems improve how they adapt to emerging market forces. This can happen in a lot of ways but strategic planning, visioning, succession planning, auditing current systems or practices etc have been a lot of fun and where I’ve been most effective.

Reflect on your professional journey thus far and find moments which really gave you high and a sense of accomplishment/purpose/motivate to continue… that’s something you want to continue.. no need for Tech IMO.. even tech are being laid off every now and then.. focus on the skill/ value which you specifically bring to the table.. take it easy, it’s a phase- will pass…

Thank you for starting this bowl! I just turned 50. I had my one and only child at 41 and went straight into menopause. My symptoms were perhaps confused with postbpatrum and nursing hormone symptoms but bow my hair is dry and frizzy yet somehow also oily and my skin lacks luster and I gain weight so easily. Working from home for eight months has definitely hanged my body shape and not for the better!
