Anyone in menopause and completely unfocused and unmotivated? I find myself with more and more to do but absolutely no motivation or energy to do it. I’ve tried several different OTC supplements and my gyno is anti HRT. Not sure what to do.

I'd get a second opinion from another gyno, and do some research on HRT yourself. I think there are relatively low risk options available that could improve your quality of life.

HRT is safer now, nit like they were in the 80s. You can also do bioidentical. There is someone locally that does bioidentical that is not part of gyn care, so look around. So many hormones go haywire in women around the time of menopause. Unfortunately, getting doctors to listen isn't always successful. You dont have to be miserable just because all of our mothers were. 😒

Find a new gyno and/or menopause specialist. It makes no sense to be “anti HRT” as a blanket rule.

I second the other comments about getting a new gyno. I've started HRT in perimenopause, and it's been a game-changer. You just need to go to someone who is well-educated in that space. Also, reach Estrogen Matters and maybe some other books to educate yourself so you can advocate for yourself.

Has HRT helped any of you with peri weight gain?

Have you seen the documentary on PBS called the “M” factor? If not, I highly suggest it because it’s loaded with data for perimenopause and menopause.

I’m on my 5th book about this, because my symptoms were making me feel distressed, exhausted, unfocused, and I thought it was my work load. It was a massive hormonal imbalance.

I’ve added creatine and collagen to my morning coffee, but I now drink decaf and I have it after my body has had about 30-40 min to wake up. Cortisol levels tend to be higher at this stage and coffee was making it worse.

Also, I added iron, magnesium, B6, and upped my estrogen patch level. These all helped. I also stopped doing hard cardio, moved to walks and heavy weight lifting. These little changes helped dramatically.

Also, get your thyroid checked! And not just the TSH levels… even without autoimmune Hashimoto’s it decreases in function with age for most people.

This! My last doctor only went by the TSH. I had to convince my new one to run a negative T3, which can lead to false numbers on the TSH and T3 tests. I wasn't surprised it was high. But getting him to rerun the negative T3 and change my meds has been an uphill battle.

Get a new gyno. HRT might be your savior— and don’t forget to have them check your testosterone. Before going on it I thought I was getting early onset dementia… it was just low T because women need it too!

I second the suggestions to get a second opinion, but as a breast cancer survivor, I personally CAN’T do HRT (and really wish I could). Following in case anyone has non-hormonal suggestions too!

Husband and I have been TTC for almost a year. His semen analysis came back all normal with the exception of morphology at 1% (Kruger Strict criteria). Anyone have insights into morphology and it’s impacts on fertility? From what I’ve read and after talking to our fertility specialist morphology seems subjective.

Curious what anyone thinks about cologne? Is it a turn on? I am not really into it.. but I just got a whiff of this dude at the gym and the cologne did something to me 🥰 It was really subtle. I tend to just like the way a man smells (not body odor but just natural scent) and don’t usually like it covered up, but wow this guy tonight 🥵 I might might buy some but i figured it would be gay to ask him “what are you wearing” because that prob isn’t something the bros at the gym do.

My colleagues
Just to put some intro
I am 22 years after college experience and worked in consulting for 15 years and currently in industry for 7 years.
My long term goal is to go back to consulting more of a business advisor from a strategy perspective
Here is my question
Would MBA be any good for me especially looking at strategy side?
I don’t want to spend $200K and would probably go online MBA in a mid tier school. Are those any good?
Looking forward to your great input on this topic
