Nope it doesn't affect your salary.
Not on transfer but you may see incremental rise /promotion increase (such that there is) to be smaller to bring in line with regional levels in future rounds
Considering how rare promos are these days, it could be worth it.
I think it depends on your DTE. S&C it does not, nor does it impact promo salary from my experience. But I have heard stories from people in Tech who have been offered lower salaries/promo salaries

I’m pretty sure it does affect your salary if you move to particular regions… you have to change your contract and part of that could be a salary adjustment.
How do you initiate a move to one of the regional offices? Is it a simple change in your profile or do you need to find a team based in those offices?

That's as much of an answer as I've been told. Only apprehension is how it impacts earning potential. That said, I would love the shorter and less expensive commute!
Salaries are lower in some cities compared to London, and role profiles also vary.
First, these cities must offer the role you’re looking for, as not every position is available everywhere. You apply for the role and negotiate upon receiving an offer.

This is not pervasive across DTEs. For example, in S&C, base location has historically bore no relevance.
I have people in Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Edinburgh in my team. All salaries are comparable to London

I guess I'll wait until the return to office mandates after all!
I think the point is its depends why you are moving if you are applying for a role in the region or initiating a transfer in current role. it’s all a negotiation.
