Is this remote, hybrid, or fully in-person? How many years of experience are you asking for? My instinct is that it's a bit low.
In person. 5+ preferred but not required.
Thanks for the input!
With there still being lots of remote jobs with a lot higher pay, I'd say that's low, especially in a HCOL. I lived in the Midwest and made more than that when I was 5 years in. I now live in a HCOL, not LA high, and the firms here offer extremely low pay (which is why I work remotely) and are also struggling to find people. Just my two cents! Good luck in the search.
Thanks for the response!

I guarantee you are not getting many applicants because you are not offering remote work. I cannot think of a single paralegal position that can’t at least offer 1-2 days remote. Employers are lying to themselves if they think they need their paralegals in office for 5 days a week. Good paralegals with 5+ years experience will/can find good remote jobs and that’s likely where they are going. My last firm offered about the same in a HCOL city and never had any issues getting plenty of applicants. They were 50% remote.
AA, if you pick and choose who can work remote and who can't, that's also going to be an issue. By "playing favorites" it lowers morale. I had a friend at a similar firm and is looking to leave due to that fact alone. It also can cause tension between them. Just something to consider!
Is your office working with a recruiter? A good one could help with making sure the listed salary is in line with the market.
We are, but I’m not sure what kind of input she’s given.
What size is the firm? If it’s a mid-size to larger firm, that’s super low. I’m mid-law in Chicago, fully remote, 5+ years and make way more than that.
