Out of the dozen or so interviews I’ve had in the past month I’d say 3/4 of them ghosted me after the first round. I actually went through 5 rounds with a company and I had to follow up with them multiple times to get an answer and find out that they hired someone else.

I've seen a lot of mentions of ghosting and it does seem to be a trend. Someone was joking months ago that when the dictionaries pick the word of the year ghosting would win for 2025. I wouldn't be surprised if it's become even more common lately, as a lot of companies have stopped hiring and probably don't want to be explaining that to applicants.
