I would actually like that role that way you get to learn, learn all the roles in the hotel industry and you wouldn’t always be doing the same thing as well as being a candidate for promotions! I would definitely try it out and see what it’s all about!

That's a little shady. As others have posted, some departments get paid more/less than others.
Most places are a bit shady though!
Here’s the thing you gotta keep in mind…if you have a guest that has a question, they want the answer to that question or if they have a need, they want the first employee they find to be able to fulfill that need or answer their question. Your company wants to hire someone who isn’t going to say “that’s not my department”, they want someone who is willing to do whatever the guest need, even if it’s not your *job*
