Take it if you are currently unemployed. Continue to look elsewhere and if they pay the same or better and offer more hours, take that job.
It definitely is rough, you’re right
The best move, if you need a job, is to take it and do a good job. Some places do that because they don't know if they can trust people to just do simple things like show up when expected and put in a good day's work. If you can demonstrate that you're reliable, you may wind up getting more hours fairly soon.
Yeah that’s true!
Do you have another job or not? That's what'd determine my course of action. If I do, I'm not giving it up for part time work. If not, I'm taking it, because part time money is better than no money at all.
Yeah that’s a good point!
With all due respect, you're already having doubts before taking the job. That's a telltale sign, that it's going to be horrible. Just like in the movies, the character keeps walking, when they're not sure. Then, nothing good, happens after that. They have already started robbing you. Since, your peace is gone. In my humble opinion, I would stay far away, from them. I'll rather have an honest employer.
Very true, doubting tells you everything I guess!
Take the job and keep looking if things aren’t going to improve quickly there. I’ve also started out with limited hours, and 2 months later, I was still on those limited hours. Not to say everywhere is like that, but you are right to be cautious.
Yeah I think so!
They say 12 but it definitely doesn't mean this is your set hours it's just a starting contract,I know from experience.
