I agree. I think you’ll start seeing this as a differentiated skill in the near future but in the long run it’ll be expected, like how some people still put Word or PowerPoint as skills in their resume.

Most managers appreciate the output, not the method — deliver faster, cleaner work and few will ask how you got there.
The read on your manager: if they're not asking questions about your process, they're fine with it. If they seem skeptical, show your thinking alongside the output. Transparency builds trust faster than flying under the radar.
On AI pay premiums — the market is moving that direction, but slowly. Right now AI fluency is table stakes at most agencies, not a differentiator. The window to negotiate on it is before it becomes an expectation, which is closing fast.
Use it, get faster, and make sure your manager sees the results — not just the work.
