Bain & Company Hello Fishes.
What is the average CTC offered for a Research Associate with 1 year of experience in Healthcare consulting?
I'm looking forward for opportunities, hence would be great to know the current CTC trends to effectively negotiate with the employer.
Thanks in advance!

So I’m nowhere near menopause but I am in the prime baby making years :) I’ll say this I have a good deal now with us government but if I get booted out I honestly don’t know what I would do. Reason being I want get married have kids still have that dual income - I feel as if the big four would support that only issue is I care less about climbing some corporate ladder 🪜 I just don’t care
Here’s the thing I’m not alone I talk to my friends about it all the time - we all want some rich guy hahahaha 🤷♀️
Off topic from what you’re saying but life certainly changes from 22, 30s and 50s that’s ok 👌 some people specifically women just want career more or want to go in on supportive role or have a rough time with female health related issues
Isn’t 26 when the brain 🧠 fully develops ?
Point being might be a more stage of life thing go to trade school, military or college, work and life on your own for at least a year then go for marriage/ kids if that’s what you want
It is high time for us women to stop using gold digging as an insult. Instead, let's educate on why it is necessary for the people who can't have babies with all the muscle for working hard (men) to use them to work hard, have money to support their wives and children as the standard. With this say, women should seek only those who can support them and the babies.
Love is nice, but it turns sour quick when you are hungry and sick and the babies are malnourished, but you have to go to work.
My 2 cents.
So glad we're all having this conversation. Sad part is, a bunch of us women understanding our bodies and its capabilities or lack thereof, aren't going to change how the world works
Experiencing menopause and my memory and ability to focus have deteriorated. Energy levels have also diminished. Don’t even get me started on poor sleep patterns due to night sweats and hot flashes. Taking vitamins is not sufficient. I’m considering HRT. I’m not the expected age. I had to push my doctor to do the labs cause she just kept telling me I wasn’t old enough.
I am no longer focused on climbing the corporate ladder. Now just trying to figure out how I can have a good quality of life as I no longer have the energy or temperament to deal with the office politics. I elected to transition to a nice WFH role that is largely project based.

Menopause is rough. I am also in public accounting but at a manager / sr manager level. Due to my age and inclination I don’t have the desire to work all the time or put up with silly requests. Luckily I found a job that supports this. Although tax the work is spread evenly through the year and I have a great team. You can do it you just need the right team to support you. And if you don’t want to do it anymore that is a fine decision also. Good luck.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. What job do you do now that you feel is more supportive of your currents state?
Are you in a position to request a flexible work arrangement? Part time has been my best decision now that I have enough for retirement saved to coast along until that date. I take November/December off to travel, and still have time in the summer to travel as well. Not sure what your tax busy season is like, but you should look into the possibility to design your job to be less stressful for less money. Reduce the clothing and shelter costs. Eliminate the majority of dining out expenses with less work. Part time revolution in America. Say no to “influencers” with perfect houses, makeup, and clothing. If it’s not broken, it’s still good! My 25 year old dining table still expands to seat 10. My 25 year old desk setup still holds my laptop (and frankly has tons of storage the new ones don’t). Why should you have a guest room if company only comes a few times a year and could pay to stay in a hotel? Take back your time by spending less money.
I work more full time hours during my busy season and less hours during the slow season for my industry. It’s a win for the firm because they don’t have to “carry” me over the slower times. It’s a win for me because I work less overall hours. My time off is when they are slow - November/December for my group. I come back in January refreshed and more ready to work. Just make sure you keep enough hours for health benefits if you need them and enough hours to accrues PTO benefits. Also, get good at speaking up for yourself in hours. I’m not a partner (when I should be by years), but I get to enjoy my life when they don’t have enough time to appreciate theirs!
