What's something you've seen a manager fired for almost instantly?

I’ve just learnt that my SO had reported on her creepy manager at a startup few years ago and got herself fired 2-3 weeks later. They asked her to signed some sort of NDA to collect severance. Does anyone know what type of legal assistance she can still look for if any? Any advice much appreciated.

On every objective measure, I know I’m doing really well. Yet somehow, this job makes me feel like I’m never doing enough, never good enough, never will get promoted, and will inevitably get fired. Anyone else feel this way? It sure didn’t feel this way when I made 30% less money and worked 30% less hours in industry before becoming a consultant.

Has anyone pivoted from teaching? My wife is thinking about a career shift to something with more money. She has 6 YOE between schools in the US and UK. She also has a masters in educational psychology. The typical advice she’s been getting is tutoring and mentoring, however this defeats the purpose of leaving education. Any thoughts and/or experiences would be much appreciated!

People worrying today should read books on trading psychology! Not being patronizing- it will help you in the future, not just for investments but for doing better in life!
