Is there a significant difference between the work done as a (Deloitte) Senior analyst Global Anti-Corruption and Financial Crime Compliance vs AML senior consultant? They sound closely related. Considering applying.

Hi all! I am applying to the Senior Analyst role at McKinsey Africa SHaPe hub. Looking for advice about the structure of recruitment and succeeding through interviews.

Analyst at Deloitte soon to be consultant and interviewing at Accenture. They have me interviewing for the Senior Analyst role. Is this typical at Accenture? I’m a little frustrated because it seems like I’d be taking a step back and am not sure why they chose that role for me to interview for instead of a consultant role.

Should you ever take yourself out of the running for a role because you no longer feel qualified? I’m currently interviewing for an industry role that was posted as a senior analyst but going through the interview process it seems like they need someone at a manager / director level. I’m on the verge of closing out a final interview where my salary will go from $70k base/no bonus to $105k base+10% bonus. My title will go from senior analyst to manager. However, I’m going from Accenture to a startup that got acquired (has $2 bn parent company so bankruptcy isn’t going to happen) and I’ll be going from working with a young crowd to older people. I wouldn’t hit the comp the startup is offering for at least 3-4 yrs if I stayed at Accenture. Any advice/thoughts?
