I would wait to tell as long as possible. No one wanted to staff me when pregnant and when I returned from leave I got laid off.
I was very sick during my first trimester, so told my manager and HR around 8 weeks so my manager would let me work from home. I also got supplemental sick leave during pregnancy so went ahead and filed fmla for that approval
Nope, that’s the main trade off. 4 days a week of the office. It’s not 100% strict so if I need an extra wfh day occasionally I can usually get it, and I wfh around the holidays when I don’t take off. I get 13 sick days and 23 vacation days so the time off is workable, but I would love to wfh more. It’s really the only reason I may eventually leave. However, in a few years I go up to 28 vacation days, which will be hard to beat
After first trimester bc it was nice to have support on stepping away for dr and my transition plan / backfill was significant
