been doing a lot of reflecting and with the push of AI usage it really makes me worry about the future for my job and career path. i don't have a degree but have worked in banking over 20 years and I'm not sure what to do or if i should pivot out of banking and what position would still be surviving the AI takeover in the next five to ten years....

Pickup a side gig that involves some skill with your hands. Plumbing, carpentry, masseuse...

Just for your own sanity, AGI is not here yet. Unless you're a junior programmer, copywriter, design artist etc, you're probably fine.

There have even been studies that have shown in some areas of the economy there has been an increase in employment because we can now do more. So although AI takes over some tasks, efficiency increases, price decreases, demand actually increases resulting in a higher demand for certain roles.

It's early days yet either way, don't start the doom spiral quite yet (unless you're a copywriter... Or translator, or song writer... you get the gist).

5th September is my last working day at Infosys. Yoe=4+ yrs
Tech= aws devops
I hold an offer of 18LPA from KPMG with joining date of 7th September. (Wfh)
I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.

Should i join KPMG?

Found a random engagement ring.

Hi all, so I found a platinum ring (which I assumed it's an engagement ring as it has dates and initials engraved on top.) And a Divvy tag (I have no idea what it was until I googled it. Apparently it's a bike sharing service in Chicago) in a briefcase I ordered online. I was thinking of returning the item back to the store but that wouldn't help the person who lost the ring.
