I've been looking since March. I have zero ego on title however age and seniority are definitely in the way. You can only "dumb down" your experience so much. It's frustrating.

I agree. They are also afraid you'll leave once you find a gig with an an appropriate title for your experience. I've been told this several times by recruiters despite my insistence that I only care about work and stability. I can see their point, and apprehension.
