Beware the “zombie day”! I warn my high schoolers that the second day after a big break is usually the worst day for fatigue. If a person suddenly changes their bedtime or especially their waking time, the circadian rhythm gets reset.

So the first day you are tired, and your cognition is hampered but it’s a bit like running on adrenaline. But day 2 is the “zombie day”. Fatigue is a better description for how students (and many of us) will be feeling today. Body tired and sluggish.

Good luck!

And don’t forget that sickness is usually around the corner once we pass the first weekend back. All of those “vacation germs” getting passed around inside our buildings/petri dishes. And week 2 is usually when we see the symptoms after the incubation period has passed.

Be extra vigilant about hygiene if you can!

Great way to explain it! My family and I all seemed to take turns over the break getting sick, so fingers crossed, we are done for a little bit.

That’s how it goes. Now is always peak time for passing illness around.

Hi fishes!

I am seeing too many post about awards like rising star, Kudos, etc. People keep telling there managers recommended them for these awards.
My manager doesn't interact much with us. I consider myself as some one who has worked hard for project and other intiatives. Should I ask my manager to consider me and if yes how should I initiate it.
Part of MC team.

Thank you.

Hi fishes, need help

I'm working as a business tech analyst at ZS since 1.5 years and I have worked extensively in SQL and in automation using Python. I know a good deal of ML and DL theory and have done two projects which I believe are good. I'm from CS background and am decent at coding. Anyone who can help me with a referral for data science/ML engineer roles? Current CTC is 13L.

I am going to move in the next few month to a location with a higher cost of living due to personal circumstances. I love my current company but I’ve only been here a little over a month, how should I go about requesting if it’s possible to get a salary increase? Might be a stretch but thought it might be worth mentioning.
