looking to make a career change. I'm
lined up for a promotion to AM in April
but I know that my WLB will be even
worse when that happens. I've been
looking at financial/investment analysis
roles in other companies but haven't had

potential companies to look into? Ideally
looking for pay at 90k+ with solid

I’m a senior with dreams of going in-house. The maternity leave at the firm is great so the plan was to have a kid before I leave, but of course we’re struggling to conceive. My matters are stale and I feel very disconnected from my group. I can see my mid-levels getting ready to step into my shoes. I guess I just feel like I should be gone, but I’m not, and it’s really hard I’m struggling with depression and burn out and going off birth control didn’t help. (cont)

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

What would you take?

Hi all! I just got a Senior tax associate role in industry ($85k, MCOL; 17% more than I currently make). Enjoyed the people I interviewed with; my only hesitation is that the company itself has had a rough couple of years (healthcare company, had a few bad acquisitions that they’ve since shed off). Their busy season is just January and early February, with their team working until about 7 PM during the week and a few Saturdays. I’m interested, but it’s also my 1st offer; what would you do?

It checks all my boxes but I’m worried about being pigeonholed in compliance and not being competitive for legal roles down the line. In practice, this job would involve both legal and compliance work but I’d sit in compliance. Has anyone had any issues going from a compliance role to a counsel role, particularly in healthcare?

Currently make $120K with 8% incentive, 6% 401k match in Financial Service industry. Located in the SE region. MBA. Certifications include: PMP, SAFe (Scrum, DevOp), CSPO & Assoc. Business continuity. Transitioned from non tech projects to info sec recently. 10 years of experience. 3 years as a senior, looking to transition to management but not as successful as I would like so far. Would like to transition to tech industry this year. Creating goals now.

Currently working in rwe consulting at a healthcare firm. What’s the chances of moving into a more general strategy consulting role at tier 1/2 firm, would I have to join at an entry level or would a senior associate / junior consultant role be plausible?

How easy is it to go back to big law after doing a few years in house? I am a senior associate planning to take a job in-house at a healthcare company. I’m curious how difficult it would be to go back to big law in a couple of years, either as an associate or counsel, if I wanted to go back.

Having a lot of trouble deciding whether to take new job. Offer- 78k, between 3-4 weeks PTO, 7% 401k up to 12% bonus, senior accountant hybrid 40 min commute. I have 4 years exp. But no cpa. Currently make 70 w unlimited PTO 3% 401k, remote and am fairly miserable but I do like the people I work with.. but also not the happiest at home as I don’t get out much.

Putting this out there again now that I’ve received confirmation. My F500 financial services firm is hiring for senior IT auditors. Can work remote anywhere in the US! No SOX work it’s all operational IT work, amazing WLB, amazing pay, amazing benefits. DM me for more info!

Received an offer from Deloitte GPS and will greatly appreciate you all feedback (especially if you have worked in both )

Current role: Tech Consultant /L9 / AFS Homegrown/Business Operations role
Base: 97K, 4.5 years YOE
Pros: good WLB, 401k 6% matching, 15% ESPP, good colleagues

New offer:
Base:120k /Tech Strategy and analytics senior consultant /No sign on bonus
Pros: more base salary/strategy role
Cons: more likely less WLB/more stress/ no 401k matching right away and no ESPP

Hello fishes, I currently work for one of Deloitte's Asian member firms and recently received an offer to move to their London office.

Supply Chain offering, Senior Consultant level. 65k base + 5k benefits. I have 3.5 years of experience in the same offering with Deloitte. Can I push for 70k base?

26M making $155k base and about $185k TC at a large payments firm (Visa, MC, AmEx). I’m also 1 year away from promo which will probably get me to $210-220k TC.

Do you think I still need an MBA? A lot of senior leaders in my team have 1 so I’m really not sure at this point. The opportunity costs are high, but I’m well aware of the long term benefits. I’ve also already taken the GMAT and gotten a 740. I’m an Asian male and find the hurdles that we go through for admissions a turn off as well.

Just to give context, the traditional consulting track is Analyst -> Consultant -> Senior Consultant -> Manager -> Senior Manager -> PPMD with other consulting tracks also available.

I’ve been looking for a senior accountant (industry role) for a few months now, with not much luck. Most of the applications we receive are for candidates with much more experience than what is required. I was expecting to see a lot of Big4 or mid-tier seniors or associates that are looking to move to industry, especially since the news lately is that PA firms are experiencing attrition at those levels. We’re offering competitive pay and great benefits. What gives?

Should I make the move?

I'm a senior in advisory at Deloitte within their GPS practice. I'm having some bites on switching to commercial as I have experience in Investment Management, Cloud, and Healthcare. (I'm an analytics resource for GPS). But I suspect this process to be long.

I'm making $105 with a ~10% bonus. I have an offer to move for 125k + ~10% bonus at a tier 3 boutique with better work life balance. Am I dumb to leave Deloitte? I've only been at Deloitte for less than a year.

Deciding between OC&C Associate Consultant or Oliver Wyman Senior Consultant?

The base salaries offered are the same.

~ 2 YOE, want to be a career consultant to become a Partner, which firm offers the best pathway (i.e. growth, both personal and firm), benefits in the long-term and exit around EM level (to MBB). No particular interest in one sector yet.
