Bond price and interest rate are inversely proportional; that is if interest rate increases - Bond price will fall and vice versa.
Major indicator for interest rate is the RBI repo rate which is generally changed quarterly.
The existing bonds will be more attractive and hence will have more demand due to better returns.
With recent rumors of RBI cutting down repo rate to even lower to what it did last week, do you think it's good time to invest in bonds for a longer time?
