Buying someone else's book could be very problematic without the right guardrails in place.

It can be problematic if you don’t focus on the fit, if there is a good fit, there won’t be issues. Advisors are selling because they are retiring, have health issues, etc and in almost all cases, the book grows after being purchased because the retiring advisor hasn’t actively worked it for a few years.

It's like buying a used car... someone is selling it because it is beyond its useful life.
