Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!
How do you measure bench strength?

For those of you who build websites, how do you display your built sites on your portfolio site? Do you have a page where you mock up the site or do you do a direct link? I currently have both. I’m just trying to figure out the best way for me. Here is my site for reference. The links for the sites are in the menu and below in the gallery. Sarahbellestudios.com

At least one order or memorandum opinion on a dispositive motion every week.
I'm not really sure thats how it works. I think its all dependant on your judge and what they expect of you. I'm a district clerk in a flyover district and I've written 6-7 large orders (more than 10 pages).
Okay quickly realizing this is district-dependent. I should’ve prefaced that I’m clerking in a Bankruptcy court. Currently drafting my 10th opinion.
I am also a bankruptcy clerk in one of the “big”bankruptcy court districts. I have written six major opinions and have drafted many orders. Currently going to be working on a major opinion with possible precedential effect over the remaining months of my clerkship.
This also depends entirely on what types of orders these are. 10-pagers on straightforward motions can take as little as a day or two. 25+ pagers on something complex could take 2-3 weeks. I’ve heard some clerks comment that a substantive MSJ takes them a month. This is also very dependent on chambers and your judge.
I’d aim for at least one good order a week on average. You’ll know when you come across one that doesn’t make that feasible. Also, when CJRA deadline is coming you might feel the heat and have to crank up the volume on the drafting machine.
Also, I’d be open with the career clerk about expectations so everyone in chambers is on the same page.
