Remember that price is always in context with terms (how you pay that price) and taxes. All will affect your cash flow, but in general most firms will look at it on a gross multiple basis since they will not keep the infrastructure of the business, but if the firm is big enough then it may flip to an ebidta or Eboc basis. Our average recurring revenue multiple of gross last year was 2.62, but the first commenter has it right there is a huge range with some getting less than 2 and some getting more than 3. That gross multiple number is after the BD haircut.
