Can anyone who works in IT validate this—a friend in HR told me they receive employee “engagement” scores that are used in decision making purely based on their computer, O365 and Teams usage. For example, if you are on calls camera off and muted the entire time you will get a negative score. Is there any truth to this? Big holding company for reference. Seems so silly—evaluate based on output and work not this.

I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100.
