An uber or taxi back and forth is going to be cheaper for long term no matter what. Hotels will also have shuttles.

Many hotels near the airport have park and fly options that are more reasonable than straight parking garages if you stay a night there. Not sure what long term means in this scenario, so you'd have to check their policy if it is a truly long stay.

Doesn't sound outrageous. I honestly don't know what going rates are. The cheapest lots at the airport itself are $16 / day, so that would be $176 right there. Those lots are kind of annoying too as you need to take a bus to the tram and then take the tram to the airport. The one at the tram terminal jumps up to $30 / day.
The courtyard glenview/Northbrook is about 20 mins north of ohare and has complimentary parking. Everything right around ohare charges for parking
Oh I missed where you said long term. Doubt a hotel would let you park there long term, sorry!
Has anyone tried to park at Rosemont Outlet mall overnight? I wonder if it has any time limits on their public parking?
P.S. Why don't you just use blue line if you live in the city, or uber back and forth if you live in the suburbs?
P.P.S Did you know that you can use Metra North Centeral Service (Purple/Lavander) to get to O'Hare?
