Job has up to 80% travel PwC
How is typically life for these positions requiring travel? This is for a SWE position.
Currently work with clients is remote as stated by the recruiter. If work is currently feasible through virtual means, will there be flexibility to choose to travel for this position?
I have an offer with PWC and have a family. I would prefer to be with my family.

Ritz is top notch for Chicago - was there for work last week.
Food is just okay, but overall experience is fantastic and right off of Michigan Ave. rooms were recently renovated and are fairly spacious. View is meh.
Was only there for a few days but somehow all of the servers knew my name, which was a nice touch
Rooms were also super quiet even at the lower levels - was on floor ~20 and could hear zero road noise - and beds / carpet are super comfortable and homey
Ritz all the way. Stayed last year for NYE and it was great. Gwen really is just meh.
Ritz for sure. Spa is amazing, almost all rooms have a view of the lake and the bar and restaurant are super pleasant. Food is meh, but ambiance and people watching is great!
The Gwen is meh.
Some of my peers stayed there for training. I went in to one of the rooms. It’s not super spacious or above par, pretty normal. Haven’t been to the Ritz so I wouldn’t know how they compare.
Ritz no doubt
