I am an ENFP corporate attorney and I’m pretty happy. I like that the work is challenging, and I rarely do the same things twice, there are new nuances I have to think through with every deal/transaction, I like that I’m in contact with the clients, but never have to be in huge social gatherings. I think there is more to a person than their Myers Briggs personality. I know I would definitely not be happy if I had some of the career paths that are usually recommend for ENFPs.

I am an ENFP and working in insurance coverage. I really don’t think it is about the work itself for me. My firm is great, good personalities and non-toxic. I enjoy the work because the people make it better. I think if you have a good working environment, really any job will do.
I’m an ENFP/type 7 as well. I like my current job at a firm that primarily works with public agencies.
I have to be at least somewhat invested in the subject matter or I can’t focus. I also struggle with discovery and other monotonous litigation tasks (thankfully, most of my practice is not traditional litigation anymore).
I do sometimes think that law is not compatible with my personality and may leave someday, but there are jobs out there where an ENFP can thrive. I would look for something with varied responsibilities where you’re personally interested in the subject matter. A high degree of client contact helps too!
Hi there! I am, and enneagram 7 in litigation. I despise discovery and other various monotonous litigation tasks. I love my job when learning new things and solving the nitty gritty problems. I hate my job when all my tasks are discovery or mediation briefs.
I had a moment of crisis when I entered law school that my personality wasn't a good "fit." I'm an attorney that literally hates conflict. . . but you can use your personality differences or uniqueness to your advantage. Figure out how to make it work for you, because there is no one "right" personality for law. (ISFJ)
