Not Deloitte or Chicago but I’d assume int’l tax is busy in August. 9/15 and 10/15 deadlines. Depending on the office it could be more consulting vs. compliance, which would also make a difference.

like

I would assume so, tax in general gets pretty busy in late summer through October.

Yes very busy

Expecting an offer this week or early next week, but want to know when you start negotiating the salary? When you receive the call from the company or wait until receiving the formal offer letter? And how should the negotiation start? Through phone calls or emails? Didn’t use recruiter for this position, so I don’t know what is the process here.

It’s hard to trust the partners/leadership when they want us to return to office as being better when we increase offshoring? Also, the pressure on billable hours when all that really matters is how much our fixed labor costs vs. how much we can bill (which is usually fixed fee or at least a range) and the fixed labor costs of offshoring is significantly cheaper so the hours don’t matter. Am I mistaken by this viewpoint?
