Can someone in the EY-Parthenon Singapore office tell me more about the difference between the role of a senior associate doing valuation in the strategy and transactions team and the generic strategy team? Saw 2 job postings with one specific for valuation, modeling and economics, and another for just the generic strategy team. Would really appreciate if I can reach out to someone to have a chat about this. Thanks much!

5-10 years. Takes a long time to deploy the vaccines and many people won’t take it
If you’re not a front line worker, high up government official, or someone they deem essential you won’t see the vaccine for at least a year after it’s approved and deployed. Figure it takes another year for people to really get back out there and “normalize” best case 3 years before you see any kind of robust global economy again.
You’re right. But the US government took a month to get direct deposit money into people checking accounts. Even if the government was functioning adequately (not even functioning well, just adequately) how long do you think it takes to vaccinate 300 million people? And that’s assuming everyone wants it. There’s morons out there who won’t get it out of spite or some kind of misguided sense of self just like not wearing a mask when you go to the damn grocery store. I’m assuming idiocy and incompetence will prevail (we have no reason to assume it won’t). You’re assuming everyone is sane and willing to do the right thing. Which they are not. The vaccine isn’t the answer to everything but it will help us get there if enough people are willing.
We need to get the economy back up and stop pretending like a vaccine is going to solve the problem. Once the virus made its way to the US, it was going to run its course. We can slow the spread to keep hospitals under capacity, but we can’t stop the spread. We’re just spreading it out into more months. The same percentage of people will still be affected either way.
