P1 is correct except ACN well below that range on average
But, I wonder - is that so different then? What percentage of Partners are in that range?
If you figure 10k MDs at Accenture; about 800-1000 are SMDs. Maybe another 1500 L2s. Is it a similar proportion of Partners at the above comp level?
Accenture pays the least.
EY2 - you aren’t seeing the big picture. When ACN gets back above $400 money will rain from the sky 🤣
A firm handshake and a pat on the back
I do think the numbers that P1 is sharing, while probably true of the current cohort of 10Y Partners/Principals, has been distorted significantly by 2-3 mega post COVID years when units were handed out like candy.
It’s also likely distorted by what is looking like a very high unit value year this year, with an expected crash coming the next year. So the $1.5M number this year could very well look like a $1.0M next year for the same individual.
Not sure why you think we handed out units like candy during Covid. In fact the only two years I didn’t get any additional units were during Covid. If my comp has to go to $1M, our unit value has to drop by 40%. Next year or two might be a bit slow but I am not expecting such a big drop in our unit value.
$1.5M-$2M
Thanks P1 - That’s great money, congrats. Appreciate the additional info/transparency. I still have a long way to go but good to know there is light at the end of the tunnel….hope it’s still there by the time I get there
Similar to P1 in my firm. Also at a Big4.
Curious as someone not at a B4 - what does the higher end of partner comp look like. Not the few super high (leadership), but strong performing partners.
Our comp levels off a ton. Very few Ps above the 2.5M range. But lots and lots in the 1.25-2M range. Basically have to enter higher parts of firm leadership to get there.
Based on these estimates, EY pay may be the least.
Agreed
Median comp would probably be a better metric than average given how much a handful of rockstars can distort the range. Also, probably makes sense to smooth the results over a period of 5 or so years given how distortionary 2021-2022 was.
10 yr PTR at B4, these numbers make sense to me.
$1.5 seems reasonable but at my B4, so many leadership missteps have led to a big clump of PTR at the $1M level with no clarity on the path to go much higher.
